V&A Archival record of 1912: “Chair (Bridal Chair) for a turban or headdress of rosewood inlaid with ivory (jusee el emameh). Saracenic. The frameowrk, which is of slight construction, is inlaid with staw, rosettes and geometrical designs in ivory. The seat, sides, the low step in front and the domed canopy are caned. The front and back are enriched with meshrebeeyeh work, and the latter has three ivory knobs. The canopy is surmounted by two bras finials.”
