A band of tapestry woven wool. Egyptian, ca. AD300-600. Brown, white and yellow wool. The band (20mm) is bordered top and bottom with a brown line (4mm wide). The centre of the band has brown motifs on a white background. the motifs are of flowers, a fish and a duck. Some slit tapestry present.

Object history | Objects T.115-1922 to T.158-1922 purchased for £25, from Professor Flinders Petrie. They were found at the BSAE excavations of Oxyrhynchus that year and offered to the museum directly by Petrie, though the money was to be passed to the BSAE. |
