Object history
Circ.772-1967, mat, and Circ.773-1967, bag, were part of a collection of regional textiles amassed to provide inspiration for the creation of new Morton Sundour fabrics. Circ.774-1967 is directly inspired by these pieces and it is likely that they also helped inform the design of the company’s ‘Sardinian’ range, which imitated the colours, motifs and embroidery of Sardinian textiles, see T.353-2018 to T.896-2018.
