Pair of plain woven linen fragments:
T.345-1977
Both sides have been cut. One end is a starting border, the other has a fringe formed of the twisted warp ends. The majority of the fabric is undyed linen, with some blue and brown (poorly) dyed threads at the edges.
The banding before the fringe uses undyed warps and double wefts, which alternate in colours-2 blue, 1 undyed, 1 brown, 1 undyed, 1 blue) then 7 single undyed wefts. The fringe is made of 4 warp ends twisted together, a pair of Z twisted ends are S twisted with another pair of Z twisted ends.
