Bodice and skirt of green wool cloth.
The bodice is fitted and waist length and with two small and pleated tails behind. The sleeves are double, the over-sleeves are fairly wide, gathered at the shoulder, and with a wide curved cuff at the elbow. The under sleeves reaching the wrist are narrower and have vertical tucks. Sage green velvet embroidered with a floral trail motif in white, yellow, black and green, and the ground is fitted with black, white and yellow. French knots faces the high band collar, edges the front and bottom of the bodice, and forms the wrist cuffs. Bands of velvet ribbon in a lighter green edge the bodice, trims the back, tails and over cuffs. Fastens with hooks and eyes at the centre front. Lined with figured white silk.
The skirt is flared and with a slight train. There are panels of vertical tucks from the waist to the knee, and, from there to the hem, horizontal bands are edged with wide tucks and trimmed with applied sage green ribbon.
