Skirt suit of fine black gabardine with seams and edges faced with black satin.
Jacket with a shaped collar with curving border, slightly padded shoulders and long straight, full length sleeves with decorative satin facing at wrist. It is hip length with a scalloped edge, fitted to the figure with curving seams emphasised by the satin facings. It is lined with black satin and there is a hanging loop at the centre back neck. It fastens with black metal hooks with worked eyes, a worked arrowhead marking the position of the hooks on the surface of the garment.
Skirt (A), very full, flared and gored, the scalloped long mid-length hem and seams emphasised with the satin facing. Floral spray embroidered in purple on circular ground of white grosgrain waistband.
Skirt (B), identical in cut and fabric with (A). The hem has a wide, black satin facing and the waistband is of pale blue grosgrain with a floral spray embroidered in black on inside centre front. It has hanging loops and fastens with hooks and eyes and has a placket fastening with alternative hooks and eyes and snap fasteners.
Petticoat (C) of black satin. It is full flared, with a deep, gathered flounce of self-covered material headed with a tuck and finished with matching bows. It fastens with hooks and eyes and has a snap fastening placket.
