T-SHIRT The Cloth, London, Summer 1985 Printed cotton jersey Accepted as casual wear since the 1940s, these basic garments have become vehicles for motifs, messages and slogans. Helen Manning, Brian Bolger, Fraser Taylor and David Band started The Cloth in 1983. Their common interest in painting is reflected in their free, abstract and semi-abstract designs.
