Pattern book of ladies' linings containing high quality, stuck down, woven fabric samples in different colours with a binding of imitation crocodile and blue and silver embossed linen (?) on boards.

The cover is printed in dark red.

Page one contains six samples of silk, possibly twill with weft. They are of the same design, figured with florets and spots in plain colours.

Page two contains eight samples of heavy satin, each woven with a different vertical stripe in multi colours.

Page three contains five samples of silk and cotton chevron twill in plain colours.

Page four contains twelve samples of heavy satin, each woven with a different vertical stripe in multi colours.

Page five contains twelve samples of various brocaded and mercerised cotton twills and sateens (?) figured with different sprigs, sprays and ribbons in plain colours.

Page six contains twelve samples of mercerised cotton satin each woven with different vertical stripes, some twilled, in multi colours.

Page seven contains nine samples of cotton satin, each woven with different vertical stripes including chevron twills and repps in multi colours.

Page eight contains six samples of various cotton satin, each woven with various large scale checks and plaids in multi colours.

Page nine contains eight samples of various cotton weave twills, sateens and repps printed with different stripes and some figured with sprigs in multi colours.

Page ten contains seven samples of mercerised cotton, each printed with a different stripe in multi colours.

Page eleven contains nine samples.

Page twelve contains fourteen samples of plain weave cotton in plain colours.

Page thirteen contains thirteen samples of broken twills (?) in plain colours.

Page fourteen contains five samples: one of black glazed cotton, one of black plain weave glazed cotton with moiré finish, one of black plain weave cotton, one of black cruder plain weave glazed cotton and one of black glazed cotton twill.
