Evening dress made of brocaded silk with velvet. V-necked dress with elbow length mid-brown velvet butterfly sleeves. The long A-line skirt cut on the cross with no waist demarcation forms the central panel of the bodice and the bottom of the neck. The back is cut in a similar way but the neck is high with darts and a large mid-brown velvet bow. The hem is finished with a band of mid-brown velvet. The fabric is bronze silk brocaded with well-spaced stylised floral sprays in orange, cream and gold gilt threads (now tarnished).
