To the edge of the cuff is applied a narrow tapestry-woven band in coloured wools and linen, with a row of masks and small floral devices.

PART OF A CUFF.

1. Linen and wool tapestry woven on two linen warps in linen cloth with self bands. Warp: \ and / tan linen. Wefts: \ and / tan linen; tapestry: // tan linen; / wool: red, yellow, blue, green.
Probably MESOPOTAMIAN; 5th Century.

2. Applied to the cloth: linen and wool tapestry woven on plied linen warps.
Warps: \/ undyed linen. Weft: \ undyed linen; \ wool: dark blue, blue, green., tab, orange, red, yellow.

Possibly NORTH PERSIAN; 5th Century.
