Handkerchief of plate-printed white silk. Printed in grey with a design commemorating the wedding of Edward, Prince of Wales, to Princess Alexandra of Denmark in 1863. Alexandra is on the left and the Prince of Wales on the right, and both are in oval medallions. Above the portraits is printed 'The expectancy and rose of the fair state'. Around the handkerchief is a floral border with bunches of wild roses and daisies.
