Details of parts taken from the booklet of instructions of B 438-1994.
1. box lid; card covered with dark grey paper; on the top is a label of paper printed in colours to show the title; set number; maker's mark; BREVETE EN FRANCE ET A L'ETRANGER and an illustration of a crane; inside is a second illustration showing two boys in sailor suits playing with the kit. Except for the set number the labels are the same as B438-1994.
2. box base; wood covered with dark grey paper
3,4. box inserts; card covered with red paper; each has two red cloth lift tags. On to these are attached with metal parts; many by means of a paper clip fastening.
5. booklet of instructions is actually for set 1; not 3A. It is published in French and show both photographs and illustrations together with the list of pieces needed for each constructions. Buff cover and pages.
