Moon shawl woven with a ground weft of white wool on a white silk warp and with pattern wefts in deep wine red, pale grey-blue and lime green. The medallion and corner pieces have grey-blue for the smaller sprigs and line green outlined in the blue for the larger leafy sprigs. The border is woven in one piece with the shawl. Ground is 2 x 2 twill and the pattern is 3/1 twill.
