Medallion from a woven shawl. Round the edge of the slightly oval medallion is a narrow (0.625 inch) edging of black with a floral meander on a bright yellow stem. The ground of the rest is white, almost covered with densely packed shawl flowers and leaves radiating from a quatrefoil, two lobes green, two yellow, each bearing a sprig of flowers centering on a flowerhead with rings of petals in red, blue and yellow.

Woven in wool and silk, bound in 3/1 twill.

Sewn at the edge in buttonhole stitch.
