Frock coat of brown fustian. It is knee length with a three-button single-breasted fastening. The collar is wide, set fairly high at the back, and has a V notch. The body is light and the skirts flare slightly from the waist seam into which are set two wide rectangular pocket flaps. There is a lapped vent at the centre back flanked by stitched pleats headed by rounded self-covered buttons. The sleeves are long with a stitched cuff and fasten with two self-covered buttons. The shoulders are set smoothly. The skirts and forepart of the coat are lined with self-material, the centre back with drab linen and the sleeves with white linen. The collar is faced back onto red flannel. There are two large pockets inside each of the front skirts, fastening with a metal button, and an inside breast pocket.
