Embroidered cotton shirt. Cut from two straight pieces of material, and the sleeves which are straight and wide are made from bands of the same material. They are set-in square at the shoulders with small diamond-shaped gussets under the arms. The neck is high and round with a tiny stand-up collar of gold braid, and fastening at the centre front.

The shoulders and sleeves are decorated with bands of heavy embroidery of black wool and white cotton in padded satin stitch. The embroidered bands alternate with narrower bands of drawn thread work in black and yellow wool. The cuffs are trimmed with yellow and black woollen lace in a coiling tape design.
