Textile of woollen plaid of Royal Stuart tartan. A white-based tartan with broad vertical and horizontal bands of red flanked by green, and narrow crossing stripes of black, yellow and red. The red stripes meet in the centre of the white square, not usual in Royal Stuart Dress Tartan. Fine wool worsted woven in 2 x 2 twill. At the left side is a selvedge and with the weft interwoven two threads at a time with medium brown warp.
