Napkin of silk and linen damask. Cream coloured. Central blazing sun enclosed in a lobed compartment surrounded by female figures classically dressed and holding lamps. In each corner is a figure blowing a horn with various other classical figures and peacocks. The legends 'See', 'Hear', 'Smell', 'Taste' and 'Touch' are inscribed in the compartmentalised design and the border is composed of scrolling leaves.

Two edges are selvedges and the other two have been hand-trimmed.
