T.153B&C: Pair of black satin heeled shoes with pointed toes and single button ankle strap which passes through a diamante covered loop attached to the fronts

Label for the exhibition Shoes: Pleasure and Pain Flapper Heels The outrageous 1920s flapper girl in her shockingly short skirt wore high heels with the risqué combination of rolled-down stockings and rouged knees. This combination suggested recent sexual activity. The rhinestones on these black satin shoes would have glittered under the lights of a smoky ragtime joint.
