Brief description
German Armoured Car; Prototype; English; c. 1975
Physical description
1. prototype of carved wood painted dark green. It has a flat top and the top surface is carved to show a shovel, water/petrol cans, fire extinguishers, box lids, hatches and a walking grid. The sides are carved to show opening hatches. It is mounted on two pairs of wheels with black plastic tyres; a spare wheel is attached to the right side. The underside is carved and shaped. Screwed to the top is a gun turret of moulded green plastic; it turns and the gun goes up and down. Glued to the body are a number of hand made card decals in black and white
and red and white representing German insignia.
2,3. turret tops, grids of moulded green plastic which are attached to the turret on each side by small pins. In both cases, one of the pin loops has been broken.
