Pair of woman's cotton aertex combinations (Quality 21). With a centre front opening of seven covered linen buttons and an open crotch. The sleeves are short and the legs reach to the knees. The neck is round and trimmed with machine-embroidered broideries anglaise, as are the sleeve ends and the leg bottoms. The combinations are shaped to the waist with a welted dart either side of the centre front and beneath the welted waistband at the back. There is no waistband at the front. The back is in two pieces with a C/B seam and two side seams, and a waist seam. The fronts and legs are cut as a left front and left leg all in one piece, and right front and right leg all in one piece with a seam in each inside leg. Each leg tapers into a band. Inside the centre front opening there is a cotton strip to take the buttons and button holes. They are machine-stitched throughout, all seams are welted and the darts and waist seams at the back are backed with cotton tape. The label is cut square with an oval woven inscription in black and red.
