Fragment from either a tunic or furnishing fabric, in plain woven undyed linen, with decoration in the form of a tapestry woven panel in purple wool and undyed linen. The panel is in the shape of an oval medallion in purple wool, containing an interlace geometric pattern whose design is drawn in undyed linen thread, and bordered by a repeated motif of vine leaves. A vine motif, terminating in either a pinecone or artichoke, extends from either end of the roundel; only one of these is preserved.
