Headdress worn by the women of Wurtemberg. Decorative filigree design of gilt tinsel, the crown of golden openwork stretched on wire into a fan shape. Cream figured silk ribbons decorate the reverse of the central bonnet base of the headdress. Ribbons further cascade from the front edge sides of the bonnet, framing the face. German, 19th century.
