Handkerchief of embroidered muslin with a scalloped edge and raised whitework. Each corner is decorated with an embroidered white cotton spray of flowers in padded satin stitch with speckling and drawn-thread work. The stems and the outlines of the flowers are in chain stitch.

In the centre of one side is a picture of cupid and two doves amongst the clouds and with the inscription 'Teresa Buger' in Gothic letters. This is worked with fine black silk.
