Child’s cap of ivory silk twill, lined with linen. It is cut in 6 pieces, with ties of pale pink silk ribbon striped with white and black. The cap is embroidered with coloured silk floss and silver filé, in a pattern of scrolling stems, leaves and flowers. The seams and edges are covered with silver-gilt bobbin lace. The cap is edged all around with gathered linen bobbin lace.
