Satin, brocaded with coloured silks bound in tabby weave

The design is woven on its side, the selvedges being present along the present top and bottom edges. The warp threads forming the satin ground seem to have been subtly shaded from pale blue to pale pink, prior to weaving.
Stated to have been part of the furnishings of Château de Bagatelle and to have been designed by Philippe de Lasalle. The design does not, however, resemble that of other silks known to be after designs by Lasalle.
