Tray cloth of bobbin lace. Small oblong linen cover edged with bobbin lace. The lace, which is scalloped on both edges, has a simple tape-based pattern of three serpentine loops alternating with a wide gentle curve, the former worked in cloth stitch and the latter in half stitch.

The lace was made by the donor's mother, Rosa Colombo Terraneo, who lived in Cantù and who was taught to make lace between the wars. The pattern used for the cloth was an old one, possibly going back to the late 19th century.
