Bertha collar of bobbin lace. Two layers of white bobbin lace. The lower layer is mounted on machine-made net. The wide lower border is patterned with large formal flowers and shaped compartments containing open filling patterns and small flowers. The narrower upper border is patterned with sloping cone shapes containing flowers interspersed with other formalised flowers and leaves. A very narrow piece of bobbin lace in sewn along the top edge of the collar.
