Cotton sampler embroidered with coloured silk in a variety of techniques. A two-inch border runs round the panel and is almost entirely filled with stylised floral sprigs and angular stems of the 17th century type, embroidered in cross and long-armed cross stitches. The remaining portion of the border is worked with a flame-stitch pattern in cross and Italian double-sided cross stitches.
In the centre is the inscription 'LOHIZO CIPRIANA UILLANUEBA' worked with black silk in cross stitch and panels of shaded satin stitch, Florentine stitch, drawn thread and pulled fabric work.
