This is a small parasol, covered with cream and blue beads in a pattern of oak leaves and a border in a Greek key design. It has an inside lining of white silk and a short white fringe at the cover edge and outside rosette. The stick is made from carved wood and is hinged to fold. The handle is bone carved in the shape of a dog's head, possibly a breed of racing dog. The ferrule is also carved bone, in a decorative hook shape, possibly to allow the wearer to attach the parasol to her waistband.

Beadwork cover: pattern of oak leaves, border of Greek key design. Beads are in three shades of blue on ground of white beads. White silk fringe at edge and top. Lining of white silk. Jointed handle of white wood, with tip and ferrule of bone.
