Pelisse of silk with woven design of blue spots on cream ground. High stand collar and bodice trimmed with applied tabbed frill of blue silk with cream piping and another frill at each shoulder. Would originally have fastned down centre front bodice but has been altered and stitched down the centre front. Blue silk applied decoration continues down centre front and hem. Each cuf trimmed in a similar manner.
Bodice and skirt joined by blue silk waistband this is covered with seperate blue silk satin and cream piping. Skirt flat at the front and deep gathers centre back. Bodice lined with plain weave silk collar and closing edges lined with silk satin. Narrow band of silk re-inforces hem. Damage to applied trimmings reveil original buckram support. Buttons with knotted embroidery at collar centre front and one at each cuf. Each cuf trimmed with blue ribbon.
