Object history
An attached label reads "This parasol was used by Queen Victoria at the opening of the Exhibition, 1851, and given by the Duchess of Kent to Mrs. Seabrooke who gave it to Mrs. Boden, from whom I received it. Leonard Noble. August, 1900"

Regarding this label, Major Wickham writes from Marlborough House, 16/7/1947:- "This, of course, was not authentic; in fact I believe the contemporary pictures prove to the contrary."
