Long, straight scarf of very fine lawn, embroidered at either end with formal motifs of fleurs de lis and ferns. White cotton in overcast, padded satin and speckling stitches with needle lace fillings of the point de Gaze type. The edges are cut into small, serrated scallops and are oversewn with white cotton in buttonhole stitch. The two pointed ends have narrow borders of linked ovals, circles and squares filled with needle lace stitches.
