Object history
Registered File number 1987/1031.

A pattern of this silk appears in T.375-1972 p. 218 in a slightly different colourway.

The pocket, presumably, accompanied a dress of the same silk. The donor bought it at a provincial sale and thought that it had originally come from an Irish family.
