Day dress of brown satin. The top is covered to the hips with a fitted tunic of tulle machine-embroidered with silk, and with a low 'V' neck which reaches to the elbows and is cut in one with the sleeves. The lower part of the sleeve is of brown chiffon banded with black machine-made silk lace and white tulle edged with maroon velvet ribbon. The neck is filled with a white tulle vest edged with black machine-made lace with a high collar and faced with maroon velvet. A boned matching bow is stitched to the dress just below the base of the 'V'. The back of the skirt is slightly trained and falling from a half belt, trimmed with four self-covered buttons and faced with maroon velvet. The bodice and skirt are lined with beige satin, the bodice is boned, and the skirt has a pleated frill at the hem.
