Baby’s cap of fine bleached linen, made in 2 pieces, with a double brim sewn with drawn-thread work. There is a 5/16-inch (6 mm) wide insertion of hollie point at the centre back, extending into a circular crown. The linen is finely gathered at the crown and held in place with a single row of smocking. The lower brim and back neck are trimmed with 11/16-inch (1.9 cm) wide edging of very fine muslin.
