Wallet of embroidered silk satin. Oblong in shape and divided into three sections inside, and with a curved flap. It is covered with red satin embroidered with silver thread and silver braid in satin stitch and couched work. On the flap is a shaped triangular panel of scrolling tendrils within a border of vine leaves and bunches of grapes on a wavy stem. There is a border around the front and back panels. On the back panel is a monogram surrounded by two palm branches with the date 1686 on either side with rosettes above and below. Attached to the flap and the front panel are two ribbons of red silk and silver thread for tying. Lined with cream-coloured silk.
