Man’s cassock of beige watered silk interlined with linen and lined with beige watered silk. It has a round neckline and short full sleeves; the body of the cassock is unshaped and wide at the hem. The inside sleeve seam is open, including the 1-inch (2.5 cm) turned-back cuffs. Beige silk and parchment bobbin lace, 1⅝-inch (4 cm) wide is applied to the fronts, back, sleeves and around the armholes. There are 16 worked buttonholes on each top sleeve and 32 on the left front. The buttons have a wooden core covered with braided beige silk thread; 63 remain. The centre back seam is open below the hip with 12 buttons on the right side. The cassock matches the doublet T.324-1980.
A small loop of braided beige silk on the inside right shoulder is a later addition, probably for display.
