Lappet of embroidered white muslin with white thread in drawn fabric and couched work to imitate Brussels bobbin lace. Formal flowers, leaves and berries with various filling patterns, sometimes arranged in oval compartments are define by strapwork. The lappet have scalloped edges. The whole background is worked into very fine meshes of various patterns by drawn fabric stitches. Parts of the designs are outlined by couched thread or tiny braids to imitate the raised cordonnet of Brussels lace.
