Woman’s habit shirt for riding of very fine bleached linen. It is made of 3 horizontal pieces, rectangular in shape and waist length, with a 2⅛-inch (5.3 cm) standing collar, fastening with a Dorset (linen) button and buttonhole at centre front. There are neck gussets on each side and ½-inch (1.3 cm) wide shoulder straps. The fullness of the body of the shirt is tightly gathered at the centre back and front. The sides are open and there are no sleeves.
