*The equipment though designed in the 1930s was not manufactured until the late 1950s or early 1960s and was sold as 'Abbatt Developmental Toys for Assessment & Training' in England where Morgenstern and his family had settled in the late 1930s. This was probably the first range of commercially produced toys designed for the disabled.
1. base; square block of 3/4in. plywood with the top and sides varnished; on the base is mounted a metal upright pole; the top part of which has been bent out and down; the end of the pole is covered with a wooden ball stained brown.
2-10. to be threaded on the pole are nine triangles; each with the hole cut in the middle which is large enough to pass over the wooden ball; triangles have been painted.
2-4. painted dark blue 5-7. painted red 8-10. painted yellow.
