knob at the top on to which fits the measuring pan. At the front under a clear plastic disc is the face of paper printed in red to show the weight scale from 0 to 1lb. in ounces and numbered off in groups of 4 oz. as 4; 8 and 12. Also printed in red is the title MODERN MISS SALTER and MADE IN ENGLAND. There is a blue pointer and an adjusting button.
2. measuring pan; white plastic moulded into a diamond shape. It is marked underneath PRODUCED BY RAPHAEL LIPKIN LTD IN CONJUNCTION WITH GEO. SALTER & CO. LTD.
3. original box; card printed in colours to show the title; maker's name
and details and illustrations of the model within a kitchen setting. On the ends are written details; the trademark of PIPPIN TOYS and instructions for the zero setting screw.
