Cover of brocaded linen with silk. Ochre coloured plain weave linen ground brocaded with thick twists of silk in green, blue, yellow and white. The pattern formed by these silks is of vertically linked hexagons containing stylised plant, star and animal forms. The vertical link between the hexagons and the sides sloping from it are bisected at the selvedges of the fabric. The stripes were intended to be sewn together to form an interlinked repeating pattern all over the cover.
