Right front and back, and left front of a man’s theatre costume waistcoat made from an 18th-century waistcoat shape of cream silk satin embroidered with coloured silks. No buttonholes have been worked or buttons added; it fastens with hooks and eyes at the front. The collar has been misapplied, there are pockets on the inside and welts applied on the outside. There is no embroidered border at the hem.
