Two halves of a man’s waistcoat, woven-to-shape in blue and brown figured stripes with a repeating floral design on the collar, pocket welts, revers, front edges and hem. It has a 1 ¼ inch (3 cm) standing collar and reaches to the hip. It is lined and backed with coarse, unbleached linen.
The left half of the waistcoat was framed and displayed in one of the Circulation department’s touring displays.
