Man’s court waistcoat of ivory silk satin, backed and lined with fustian; the fronts and skirts faced with pale blue silk twill. It has a 2 ¾ inch (7 cm) standing collar, pockets with shaped flaps and very short skirts reaching to the hip. It is embroidered with coloured silk floss, shaped pastes of purple, amber and clear glass and silver spangles, in a floral pattern. There are 7 embroidered buttons on the right front and 7 corresponding worked buttonholes on the left front.
