Right front and back, and left front of a man’s waistcoat made of ivory silk satin, embroidered with coloured silk floss, green and red chenille threads and silver spangles in a pattern of scrolls and feathers. It is backed and lined with fustian; the fronts faced with ivory silk twill. The waistcoat has a 1¼-inch (3 cm) standing collar, revers, welted pockets and it reaches to the hip. It has a double-breasted effect with 12 worked buttonholes (the top 2 uncut) on the left front edge with 10 embroidered buttons at one end, and 10 embroidered buttons along the right front edge.
