The ground on both sides of the apron is almost completely covered with brightly coloured embroidery. The pattern consists of conventionalised floral and leaf motifs of varying sizes, the most conspicuous being five circular rosettes in pink and rede, in horizontal stripes, the upper border is edged with black velvet, and there are two strings of brocaded ribbon (floral patterns on blue ground). Near the bottom is a deep knotted fringe of black silk.
