Woman's day coat in dark chocolate brown wool with deep and very full nutria fur cape collar and cuffs. The lower part of the woollen sleeves are in brick-red wool, and the same brick-red wool forming a geometric folded accent at the single button fastening to one side of the hipline in front.
The coat is mid-calf length, straight cut but flaring towards the hem. Trimmed with three diagonal tucks running from the left shoulder around the waist to where it fastens with a loop and self covered button. A band of applied red cloth runs around the neck under the large cape-like nutria collar and down either side of the front to the fastening where it extends into an applied bow. The sleeves are straight with heavy rounded elbow length melon cuffs headed with a band of red cloth. The coat is lined with dark brown silk crêpe, and has a black label stitched at the centre back of the neck.
