The shirt is made of two qualities of linen, the finer in the sleeves and neck. It has a square neck with an opening down the front. The side seams are the selvedges of the linen. The sleeves are full and long, gathered below the shoulder, with a cuff at the wrist. There are two thread loops on the left front at the neck; the corresponding buttons are now lost. The cuffs fasten with two buttons (now lost) and buttonholes. The neck, front opening and cuffs are trimmed with bobbin lace. There are two panels of cutwork at the front of the neck and insertions of lacis and bobbin lace at the shoulders.
